Time for some polaroids

I've made some polaroids with this funny bowler hat. I found it totally for free at our neighbours stuff! They are moving so were putting a lot of old stuff on the street. I saw this hat and they let me have it. It looks quite funny right?

Faux fur love

Number 1 on my wishlist is absolutely a faux fur coat. I think faux fur coats make every outfit special, just in the twinkle of an eye. Faux fur coats have such a cool boho-chic look! I've found some nice exemplars on asos.com. The prices are between 85 and 200 euro. Which one do you like the most?

(PS: At my computer at home I can't post blog topics anymore, for some reason, so that's why I can only post at school... Very tedious, but I don't know how to solve it.. If someone as the same problem, please let me know!)

I've had this bright yellow nailpolish for quite a while, but now I bought this yellow waistcoat, I finally have something it combines perfectly with!

Buzzy bee

I'm very sorry for my lack of updates lately. I'm very buzzy with school, modelling and learning for my first SE week since I'm in my graduation year..

In 2 weeks I will have time to post again. Really!

Vogue inspiration

This is one of the prettiest editoriols I've ever seen...
I love the sunny light and the styling, but especially the whole mood. We've used it as inspiration for a 'Farm Girl' photoshoot I have done this summer. I'll post the result of this shoot later.

My art

I recently wrote about how Cassandra Rhodin's fashion illustrations inspired me to start drawing. I tried to draw in the style of Rhodin and this is how my first try-out looks like. I think it turned out quite allright for a first try. (I had trouble with the shadows under the eyes, which are very pretty details in the drawing of Rhodin, but in my drawing it looks a bit weird I think. The expression could be a little softer too...) At least I had fun being creative!

I'm very curious what you think and tips are welcome, so don't hesitate to comment! ;-)

Sunny day

Today finally the sun shines again! I enjoyed sunbathing in the garden after school in my new roe-deer shirt from Bershka.

She fell in love with silence

Gorgeous H&M fall 2010 editorial with model Anja Rubik and photographed by Camilla Akrans. The pictures give me a nice, sunny feeling though the clothes obviously are for fall. I love the beautiful lightning...

PS: I tried to follow some blogs I like, but when I click on the follow-button, I get a fail. It doesn't work, is there anyone who knows how to dissolve this?

Monki

Today a new store has opened their doors at the kalverstraat Amsterdam: Monki. It's a scandinavian brand with a kind of boho-chic, streetwear style. I really like it and it makes me think of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's style. I made an outfit of Monki clothes. I hope you like it! And I can't wait to visit the shop ('cause the collection is very payable too! :-)

Today's outfit

Today I wore a nice, comfy outfit to school. An oversized sweater I bought in size L, so it would be very loose-fit. I like it when an outfit is half tight and half baggy/loose-fit, so I put on some tight leggings to compensate the big sweater! What do you think of my outfit?

Sweater: Mango
Top: Primark
Jeans leggings: Vila
Belt: Pieces
Shoes: Pimkie

Layering

Layering always makes an outfit more interesting I think, because there's just more to see in a layered outfit! That's at least one benefit from the fall that is coming up, we can put on more layers again. Scarfs, cardigans, fake fur, blazers...

In almost every store I see those great large knitted waistcoasts, I love them and I can't wait to wear them when it's getting colder. Talking about layering, see these editorials for inspiration!

Cassandra Rhodin

When I first saw Cassandra Rhodins fashion illustrations I immediately wanted to learn to draw like her. Her drawings are so pretty and inspiring. I'm going to try to learn myself drawing like she does. I have a long way to go before I can do this, but I'm willing to take that effort.

Every girl loves shoes

Today the shoe reck arrived, wich I had ordered at 'Marketplace.nl' because the Ikea has unfortunately taken the reck out of the collection. Though I had to have a new shoe reck, because I kept on buying shoes and my reck kept getting fuller and fuller, so it's was time to buy another reck. However, my new shoe reck is already quite full too, maybe I have to buy a third one? ;-)

AIFW: Franciscus van der Meer

I have walked for Franciscus van der Meer and I really enjoyed it! The vibe backstage was very nice and comfy. I met a lot of new people but I also ran into a few people that I already knew from other jobs. In my opinion that's one of the greatest aspects of modelling: meeting a lot of new people with mostly the same interests.

Franciscus' collection was based on the Holocaust, wich isn't immediately clear when you see the collection. The make-up is very original and suits the collection very good. The make-up artists applied a piece of tape from ear to ear, and then they airbrushed the black paint on the face. It's a very cool effect!
